If you purchased a domain from Wix and want to use it on a Creatr store without moving the hosting to Creatr, then this guide will help you manually connect your Wix domain to Creatr.

Step 1: Connect your domain to Creatr

  1. From your Creatr admin, go to Settings > Domains.
  2. Click Connect existing domain.
  3. Enter the domain name and click Next.

Step 2: Log in to your Wix account

  1. Open a new browser tab, and then log in to your Wix account.
  2. Go to Account Settings > Domains > … > Manage DNS records. Wix DNS management interface showing Account Settings and Domains section

Step 3: Add the CNAME records

  1. In the CNAME (Aliases) section, click Add record.
  2. In the Host name field, enter _acme-challenge.hostname.
  3. In the Value field, enter hostname.a717d819c68725fc.dcv.cloudflare.com.
  4. Leave the TTL as 1 Hour.
  5. Click Save.

Step 4: Add another CNAME record

  1. In the CNAME (Aliases) section, click Add record again.
  2. In the Host name field, enter www.
  3. In the Value field, enter shops.myshopify.com.
  4. Leave the TTL as 1 Hour.
  5. Click Save.

Step 5: Verify connection

  1. From your Creatr admin, go to Settings > Domains.
  2. After your domain is verified, it will be displayed as connected on the Domains page in your Creatr admin.
Note It’s normal to have a warning stating, Domain connection Pending, because some providers can take longer to verify the connection.

Troubleshooting

If the message This domain is already connected is displayed, then you need to verify your domain and store settings.
